This Big Rival Beat Tuscaloosa for “Best Sports City” in USA
It's just not right for us to lose like this.
A recent study from WalletHub ranked the best cities for sports fans across the country, and Tuscaloosa made the list. Unfortunately....we came in second. To an AWFUL rival.
To create their rankings, WalletHub combined the quality of fan experience for different sports in each city, including Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Soccer.
Obviously, since some cities are much bigger, they get ranked on a different scale. Here's the top three locations for those bigger sports cities:
Best Large Sports Cities:
- Los Angeles, California
- Boston, Massachusetts
- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Not too big, not too small...up next it's the middle-sized folks.
Best Midsize Sports Cities:
- Green Bay, Wisconsin
- Buffalo, New York
- Glendale, Arizona
But don't forget the little guys! That's where Tuscaloosa makes the list, ranking number two as the best small town for sports.
Whether it's celebrating on The Strip after a big victory, or attending the various athletic games offered by the University, sports in Tuscaloosa always has something going on.
But...it's still not enough.
Because according to this study, the best small-town sports city is Clemson, South Carolina.
Let's go ahead and start throwing things now. WalletHub said, "Clemson University strongly focuses on its athletic programs, including its highly successful football team, which has won 15 ACC conference championships since 1978 and three national titles."
Okay...Tuscaloosa has 13 SEC championships and 18 national titles. I think we all know who the actual winner is..
