Alabama: RISE Golf Tournament And The CHIP In For RISE Auction
RISE Center in Tuscaloosa needs you as they continue to provide early childhood and preschool education services to children with special needs.
In 1992, The University of Alabama initiated a capital campaign to build a new facility for the RISE program. As the campaign began, Coach Stallings led the football program to the national championship and received the Bryant trophy as the National Coach of the Year. Shortly afterward, the RISE program met its capital campaign goal, and the new home of RISE, The Stallings Center, opened on November 20, 1994. The program expanded to include six classrooms and served over 80 children. In this state-of-the-art facility, the staff size increased to 34 individuals. The Stallings’ family support, friendship, and dedication to the RISE program continue to contribute to the program’s success and longevity.
Each year, the inclusive program holds the RISE Tournament of Champions and Chip In for RISE silent auction to raise funds that provide therapeutic services at no cost to families.
This year’s golf tournament will be held at NorthRiver Yacht Club, April 18 and 19 and the auction will be in the evening of the 18th.
