Traffic on U.S. Highway 82 in Tuscaloosa County is at a stand-still Tuesday night after strong storms in the area caused trees to fall, leaving lanes blocked.

According to a Facebook post from Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa's Chief Meteorologist James Spann, fallen trees are blocking lanes near the Tuscaloosa-Bibb County line along the highway.

Motorists should expect heavy delays and avoid the area or find alternate routes as work begins to clear the roadway.
