Warning

This warning is important for a few reasons. First and foremost, Alabama conservation folks want everyone to be aware of this information. In addition, if you plan to travel out of state this Summer, this is important information. Recently, we reported on a warning for Alabamians involving bathing suits.

It is a huge problem in West Alabama. It's not showing signs of slowing down in the near future. Finding a decent parking spot in downtown Tuscaloosa is always a challenge, but there's something you need to know if you plan to leave your car overnight.

It was stronger than Percocet, Vicodin or Oxycontin. MUCH STRONGER! It was so easy to obtain. Fast-forward to now, and that drug, Tianeptine, is destroying lives in Alabama.

In the state of Florida, iguanas are a common sight in many residential areas and are often found basking in the sun on trees, fences, and walls. However, during the winter months, when temperatures in Florida can drop below freezing, iguanas can become a frozen and fall from their perches.

I have lived in Alabama since 1988 and I never dreamed these problems would show up in Dixieland. Halloween candy tainted with fentanyl was a real threat across the USA. Drug cartels were reportedly trying to inject the deadly drug into candy coming across the border.

I know, PLEASE, I know they keep us from being overun by other insect populations. It doesn't make me any happier when I find one of these at my home in Northport, Alabama. This beast was just hanging out, looking at me. I think he was big enough for children to ride.

This bear issue is getting too close for my comfort. Just yesterday, a warning was issued and reported by us, that black bears had pretty much taken over Alabama. OK, that's a little drastic, I admit.

OK, the bears have been asleep for a bit. Well, they've been sleeping for a few months and they are awake and hungry. However, this is nothing any of us wanna see when we get home from work.

Several different departments of Wildlife and Conservation in Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia and Texas are issuing a warning for these hot summer days. In fact, it has already happened to families in Florida and Texas. WARNING FOR SWIMMERS!

They say many of us have a plan if the Zombie Apocalypse finally hits us all in the USA. I can believe that. What about a plan for zombie raccoons? These little evil creatures are just plain mean. Now, we may have to deal with them in West Alabama.
