Tuscaloosa Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Dragging Police Officer With His Car
WBRC Fox 6 News reports Tuscaloosa Police Department Officers were called to the scene of the park last night in response to a suspicious vehicle. TPD officers approached Horton's vehicle and as they were speaking to him, he drove off, dragging an officer and a passenger for about 20 yards. Officers also say Horton hit a backup officer while attempting to flee.
Horton later turned himself in and was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on two counts of attempted murder, one count of second-degree assault, one count of third degree assault, and leaving the scene. His bond was set at $156,000.
