Tuxedo grenades? What?
I'm all for novelty items, but this is a bit too far...
At Newark Liberty International Airport, it was a normal day for security. Passengers were moving through, whether it be quickly or at a snail's pace. One unnamed passenger placed his bag on the conveyor belt for the x-ray machine for it to be examined. While the bag was scanned, TSA noticed what seemed to be an explosive in the bag!
UPI reports that in a situation like this one, agents can't put themselves in danger and immediately search the bag. A specialist in explosives or the bomb squad has to be brought in. Luckily, they weren't actual grenades, but instead they were bottle openers. The flyer who brought them could face severe penalties for the stunt.
Let this be a lesson, especially with them implementing metal detectors at Bryant-Denny. Don't bring suspicious items thorough security!
