UA is suspending normal operations from 6:30pm until midnight because of the threat of severe weather
The University of Alabama is suspending normal operations tonight from 6:30pm until midnight due to the threat of severe weather. Classes and campus activities are cancelled. UREC and campus libraries will also close and reopen at 7:30am tomorrow, except for Rodgers Library, which will reopen at midnight.
WTVM is also reporting the University has opened 3 storm shelters on campus. When a tornado watch or warning is issued for campus, the North Campus Storm Shelter, East Campus Storm Shelter, and the Magnolia Parking Deck Best Available Refuge Area (BARA) will be opened and remain open until the cancellation of the tornado watch or warning.
