Today Jeff Sessions and Tommy Tuberville face off for the Republican seat in Alabama's Senate race, and voters are already headed to the polls to cast their votes. As the Primary Runoff continues throughout the day, here are the rules regarding where and when face masks must be worn.

Voters do NOT have to wear a mask while at the polls. State laws supersede any local mandates that may be put in place, and there are currently no state mandates in place for wearing face masks. Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall encouraged voters to consider wearing a mask while they are at their polling precinct, but it is not required. Read his full memorandum where he says this here.

Polls close at 7 p.m. today. We will have election results as soon as the ballots are finished being counted, so stay tuned.
