It's back to non-conference play for Alabama and what should be a tune-up before heading into October.

Louisiana, which dropped Lafayette from its name, comes to Tuscaloosa to face undefeated and top-ranked Alabama in an early kickoff. The team is led by former Alabama assistant Billy Napier.

Here's everything you need to know about this week five matchup.

No. 1 Alabama (4-0, 2-0 SEC) vs Texas A&M (1-2, 0-1 Sun Belt)

When: Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11:00 AM/CT

Where: Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, AL

Weather: Forecasts are saying this game might start off in the high 70s and move into the 80s as the game moves along. It would be a welcomed change from the heat we've dealt with for the first two home games.

TV: SEC Network (Play-by-play: Taylor Zarzour, analyst: Matt Stinchcomb, sideline reporter: Kris Budden )

Radio: Crimson Tide Sports Network (Play-by-play: Eli Gold, color analyst: John Parker Wilson, sideline reporter: Rashad Johnson). Listen on 95.3 the Bear and Tide 102.9/100.9 in Tuscaloosa or download the station apps to stream the game for free.

Spread: The Crimson Tide opened as a 49.5-point favorite and it's remained right around that number. Alabama covered the spread the first three games before failing to do so against Texas A&M.

Series History: The two teams will meet for the 9th time ever and the fourth time in Tuscaloosa. The series dates back to a 1941 meeting in Bryant-Denny Stadium and Alabama has reeled off a perfect 8-0 record versus Louisiana since that time.

Last Meeting: Surprisingly, these two programs haven't faced each other since Gene Stallings' first year as head coach in 1990, which is when Louisiana was known as Southwestern Louisiana. That wasn't the only difference from now to then. Alabama used a school-record six field goals from Phillip Doyle to pull out a 25-6 victory 28 years ago.

Last Week: Alabama rolled to its first win over a ranked team last Saturday. The Tide beat Texas A&M 45-23 behind a career day by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The sophomore threw for 387 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for a fifth. Despite the 22-point win over the 22nd-ranked team, Nick Saban called for the media to point out where his team could get better so he could show it to them.

Louisiana, meanwhile, lost a home game to Coastal Carolina on Saturday, 30-28. The Ragin' Cajuns allowed 497 total yards - 311 of which came from the Chanticleer rushing attack - and only had the ball for 21 minutes in the loss.
