Drive-Through Job Fair This Friday

In the world of COVID-19, it puts a strain on looking for new employment opportunities. If you are in the market for a new job or a career change, be sure to check out the drive-through job fair on Friday, June 12, 2020. According to the NY Times, “unemployment fell to 13.3 percent in May, with a gain of 2.5 million jobs.”  The drive-thru is hosted by Express Employment Professionals South and will take place at the Shelby County Instructional Services Center parking lot located 601 1st St S, Alabaster, AL 35007. The drive-through will be from 10 am until 3 pm.

According to Express Employment Professionals, the openings include:
• Customer service
• Delivery driver
• Accounting Clerk (A/R, A/P)
• Warehouse; forklift
• Receptionist / front desk
• General labor
• Apartment leasing
• Production & assembly
• Administrative assistant
• Apartment maintenance & HVAC technician
• Sales (inside & outside)
• Housekeeping - hospital & hotels
• Accountant (not CPA)
• Construction labor - carpenter / framer

If you have a resume, that’s great. Bring it. If you don’t have one, it’s perfectly fine because they will have a short form that you can fill out. So, looking for that new adventure, take that short drive to Shelby County from West Alabama. The job fair will be practicing social distancing, the job fair is drive-through, and everyone will be requested to stay in their vehicle.
