Expect a Warm-Up Then Sharp Temperature Change Soon for Portions of Alabama
Many areas across the United States will experience a warm-up into the weekend. Be sure to enjoy the temperatures over the next few days because they will change drastically from this week into the weekend.

James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that “a cold front will pass through the state Saturday night... moisture will be very limited, but it might squeeze out a sprinkle or flurry in a few spots. Measurable precipitation is not expected... then much colder air returns to the state Sunday. Despite a clearing sky, temperatures won't get past the mid-40s Sunday afternoon with a brisk north wind.”
According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham here are the projected temperatures for the Townsquare Media coverage areas. There will be a 19 to 23-degree difference between Friday and Sunday

Don’t forget that the Farmers’ Almanac last year did predict a “frosty flip-flop winter” for the United States and a “quite chilly, mixed bag of precipitation” for the southern states for our winter outlook. Looks like we are getting both scenarios over the next few days.
