Former Alabama Softball Infielder Inducted Into Hall of Fame

Former Alabama softball player Kaylee Tow was inducted into the Hopkins County Hall of Fame on Monday night, according to Brett Greenberg of Mobile's WKRG.

Tow, a 5-year player for the Crimson Tide was a three-time NFCA All-American during her career with Alabama. She started 257 games over the course of her career as a right-fielder and at first base.

The Kentucky-native cranked 34 homeruns and helped Alabama win 206 games over the course of her five seasons.

During her tenure with the Tide the softball program made the post season in four seasons, being eliminated in the Women's College World Series twice, the Super Regionals once and the Regionals once. The only season the Tide failed to make the post season was in the 2020 COVID-19 shortened season.

"I gave my whole heart to this program," Tow said after the 2022 season ended. "I wasn’t able to put together the best season this past year, but it is what it is. I promise you, I gave it my whole heart."

Tow was inducted into the inaugural hall of fame class along with Tanya Bowman, the first elected African-American Circuit Clerk in the state of Kentucky, Richard Frymire Jr., a 31-year military veteran, attorney and politician and Drew Franklin, a Kentucky Sports Radio icon.
