Have you ever heard of an instrument fair? The purpose of an instrument fair was to enlighten students on the joys of learning and playing a band instrument. The goal of this particular instrument fair was to educate the students on the instrument's style, features, and sound.

The instrument fair was spearheaded by the Eti Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

92.9 WTUG's Mary K was in attendance showing the students her skills on the saxophone. she even had sheet music dating back to 1981.

Talk about a throwback!

"I feel that the students thoroughly enjoyed the fair!" Simmons said when asked about the students' reception of the event.

"They were very excited from upon first entering the gym to leaving out at the end. They were very engaged and attentive during the informational part of the fair, and eager to participate during the performance showcase of the instrument."
