Crazy Story of the day

No, no, no, no, NO! This columnist could live the rest of my life without being made aware of another story about spiders. I know I'm not the only person living in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with a deep hatred of spiders (and many other critters) that I will never get over. Very few people love spiders.

Some families in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama region and surrounding areas are having to go to war day in and day out with these monsters. They DESTROY THINGS! LOTS OF THINGS! Feral essentially means in a wild state after escape from captivity.

Spiders. Snakes. Cockroaches that fly. Welcome to Alabama. And Florida, Georgia and pretty much the entire South. I love the south but hate the critters, I must admit.

Who doesn't LOVE chicken? OK, I am sure that is not the same thing as this HOT, CONTROVERSIAL chicken fight in Northport. Have you heard about the petition? The name calling. Don't get ahead of me.

Northport, Alabama is going to see more people killed in their streets. We all know we ALREADY have a serious problem in West Alabama with pedestrians being struck and killed. It is a big problem and it puts our town on the map for all the wrong reasons. Tuscaloosa/Northport, Alabama has one of the HIGHEST rates of pedestrian accidents in all of the Southeast.

Did you know that Alabama, along with Georgia, are the top states for "Bigfoot" sightings. An Alabama newspaper, the Geneva Reaper, reportedly put a photo of "Bigfoot" on their front page years ago. It's hard to find a copy, I have tried multiple times, but I've heard from many who claim it did happen.

The stores are packed this December with Christmas shoppers. Some of those shoppers have packages and they also might be "packing", as they say. Police in Opelika are saying that a TJ Maxx customer shot herself in the foot while in the store. The woman, 55, was shopping at the Tiger Town shopping center.

What is our society becoming? I have no doubt that this sort of thing could happen in Tuscaloosa, Northport, Moundville, Coker, Gordo, Jasper or Cottondale one day. It has happened multiple times in the last few years.
