A local teacher at Tuscaloosa Academy, Jaclyn Foster, has been chosen for the 2021 Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship from National Geographic Society and Lindblad Expeditions.
Tuscaloosa Academy struggled to find success this season under first-year head coach Todd Bradford but one player still managed to shine in a difficult season. The Knights only won one game in this season complicated by COVID-19 but first-year player, Bo Abston, was able to draw enough attention to be named to the AISA All-Star Game. Abston played well enough in the game to be named AISA West All Stars’ Most Valuable Offensive Back.
In the second to last week in West Alabama High School football, the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights fell to the Monroe Academy Volunteers by a score of 40-33.
The Escambia Academy Cougars took on the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights tonight and defeated them 28-13. The Cougars, led by Junior RB Bubba Nettles, who ran for over 200 rushing yards on 24 carries with 2 TD, kept this game out of reach from the beginning, dominating on both sides of the ball.
