Teen Crashes Into Northport Police Car
A very serious situation occurring last night in Northport.
According to the Tuscaloosa News, Last night around around 8:51 PM, police were called to the area around Huntington Elementary School. An unidentified call to 911 reported something strange going on. Officers then made their way to the area in question.
While patrolling, one officer stopped at a stop sign. It was then that the officer was hit by a truck that ran a stop sign. The driver was unharmed, while the officer and the passenger of the truck were taken to DCH to be taken care of for minor injuries.
The 18 year old was investigated and found to have been driving under the influence. He was released, but with a $1,000 bond.
