Recently two iconic restaurants have closed their doors in Alabama.
Probably not for the reasons we would typically think.
First...
A famous Alabama seafood restaurant.
Bayley's Seafood Restaurant in Theodore, Alabama.
They are known for the fresh food
and the friendly faces.
Bayley's Seafood Restaurant announced on Facebook that it would be shutting its doors after 27 years of serving the community. This is a real big hit for the community.
Restaurant owner Bill Bayley said that the restaurant couldn't keep enough staff to run the restaurant properly.
This has been a big problem for a lot of businesses these days. Unfortunately, people today just don't want to work like they used to back in the day.
So this situation is predictable in today's America.
Second...
A famous restaurant which is known for its good ole Southern cooking.
The restaurant was so popular celebrities like Hank Williams Jr. and Whoopi Goldberg are rumored to have dined at the restaurant.
Red's Little Schoolhouse Restaurant in Grady, Alabama.
Red Deese opened the restaurant in 1985
The owners of Red's Little Schoolhouse Restaurant are closing the restaurant after 37 years to spend more time with family.
Red's Daughter Debbie has been running the restaurant and made the hard decision to close after so many years in the community.
For her and her family, it was more important to be able to spend more time with her dad.
That's the one thing you can never get back.
TIME!
God Bless Mr. Red and his family!
You will be missed.
