Check Out Meg Summers’ 4 Favorite Weekend Finds
I had a relatively chill weekend, and even though I didn't do anything crazy, I did come across some pretty cool stuff. Here are the 4 finds I think you'll dig.
- 1
The Baked Bear
I finally had a chance to visit this little ice cream shop. Located in Midtown Village, The Baked Bear is basically the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory of frozen treats. You can build your own ice cream sandwich using cookies, brownies, or donuts... or get it by the scoop or in a brownie bowl. It's super decadent, but it's worth it.

'Treeborne'
I am always looking for a good book to read (I think it's the Lit major in me), and I've heard nothing but good things about Alabama author Caleb Johnson's Treeborne. I picked up a copy last night and was immediately in awe of Johnson's prose. I'm sure I'll have this novel finished in a few days.

Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3
A friend recommended this treatment to me a few weeks ago, and I was hesitant to drop the cash on a small bottle... but I did, and OH BOY. I use Olaplex No. 3 about 2-3 times every week, and it helps negate the damage done to my hair by coloring and heat styling. It's NOT a conditioner; Olaplex actually works to strengthen the bonds within your hair. Once you start using it, you'll be hooked.

Cooling Towel
It was hotter than eight kinds of hell this weekend. I was at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater before the 'Wheels of Soul' tour, and the heat index was literally 102 degrees. I bought one of these bad boys to help me beat the heat, and it worked! I can't believe I've lived this long without owning a cooling towel.
