The holiday season is here. We just got past Halloween and now we are entering the last two months of 2022. This does mean the hustle and bustle of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and ringing in the New Year is here.

The other day while shopping locally, I notice a sign that brought back a flood of memories from the 80s. Growing up, there was a permanent Hickory Farms store in our local mall. I could be wrong but I think it had a restaurant as well.

Secretly, when I was in high school, I always wanted to work there. See, I love cheese and their summer sausage and paired with my personality, IMO it would have been perfect.

Listen! It was known that you have arrived if a Hickory Farms gift basket ended up on your desk or home. Now, they have what seems like endless options of “meat and cheese gift baskets, chocolates, wine, and fruit baskets.”

I remember getting a gift basket, on the first day at a new job. My eyes got a little watery because it was a Hickory Farms basket. You! Couldn’t! Tell! Me! Nothing!

Hickory Farms believes in the “power of delicious food to build connections. Since our founding in 1951, the rich flavor and uncompromising quality of our gourmet food have been a cornerstone of our company,” according to Hickory Farms.

Now Hickory Farms is opening at the Midtown Village in Tuscaloosa just in time for the holidays. According to the “find a store” on their website, the location will open on Tuesday, November 8. The pop-up location is located a few doors down from Party City and will be open through the holiday season.
