Winston Is The Pet Of The Week - Humane Society of West Alabama

The Pet of the week is this handsome, sweet, big boy named Winston.  He is 15 pounds and a gentle, loving kitty. He came to us from a sad situation after he was kicked out of his house for getting upset when a small child pulled his tail. He lived in a crate for many months, waiting for a second chance and came dangerously close to having that day never come until we were contacted. When he got to us, he immediately sat and looked out the window, watching the birds. We think he was just happy to see outside and stretch his legs again!

Winston does great with the other cats at the shelter and mostly just keeps to himself on top of the tallest perches. He seems to enjoy being up high and surveying his surroundings. We think he would do well in just about any home, as long as he wouldn't be around kids in the overly-curious tail-pulling stage again.  We do know that he is prone to UTIs, so a proper diet that encourages urinary health is encouraged. He is neutered, vaccinated, negative for FIV/FeLk and microchipped.
